29 June 2007 Dear cricket section players Following various reminders to cricket section players from team captains, there are still a number of players that have not yet paid their current years membership subscription which is due on the first day of January each year. Membership renewal forms have been received by all players. This situation was highlighted again at the last main committee meeting and those players with outstanding subscriptions were identified. The Club has been founded on loyalty and good will and vast amounts of voluntary time is put into the club by certain individuals to maintain the club as we know it and create its successes both on and off the pitch. The minimum that can be requested from players is for them to pay their annual subscriptions. The main committee has therefore unanimously decided to inform those players that have not paid their annual membership subscription that they will not be considered for selection to play for Hythe Cricket Club until such time as they pay their membership subscriptions in full. “No pay no play”. We all wish for success. However, it is particularly unfair to those dedicated members that pay their membership subscriptions and see other individuals not contributing as a member of the Club. Please contribute now and pay your membership subscription. On behalf of the HCSC main committee Dave Hall |
