Roger Mapstone is about to send out the information - so all you cricketers and interested parties note the date in your diaries.


Saturday 12th February - Valentines Dinner/Entertainment

Come on all you romantics!

A three course dinner and entertainment at £12.50 per head

Friday 11th March - Quiz Night

Using the popular programme format this will test the kids against the adults. Only one adult per child will be able to participate— but do still come and join us for a drink!

Limited places available. £2 each to enter.

6:30 for 7pm start

Saturday 12th March - Quiz Night

Quiz on 12th March at the Club in aid of Hi Kent, a Kent charity for people with hearing problems.

Tickets are £7 per person, including a ploughmans, 6 people in a team.

Please support this very worthy charity.

Sunday 24th April - Easter egg hunt - 12:30 Start

Easter egg hunt for members children/ grandchildren. Every child goes away with something. Parents can enjoy a drink at the bar whilst the children hunt so something for everyone.

Friday 29th April - Royal Wedding

 


COME AND ENJOY YOUR DAY OFF AT HYTHE CRICKET & SQUASH CLUB

As most of you know by now William & Kate are to marry on 29th April - some say hooray some will just groan - whatever your reaction, it’s happening so why not make the most of the day at your club????

Food – Fun – Games – Entertainment With Patio Suitably Dressed and Decked Out for the occasion.

10am – Lets Get Started – Fizz or Bucks Fizz / Canapes

Television will be on for all the preliminaries and of course the actual event.  BBQ will be on the go for sausage/bacon baps and will continue throughout the day for burgers, sausages, chicken and vegetarian options.

We are planning for games during the afternoon – teams to be sorted on the day we will also planning to hire in some inflatable sumo suits for those who may wish to have a rough and tumble while the rest of us just watch and laugh.

Pimms jugs and jugs of beer and lager on offer during the day.

For those of you who remember the Queens Jubilee this could be a good day and will be if you want it to.

Special invitation goes to new members and to all those who have not recently attended a social event, come and enjoy the company of your fellow members and warm atmosphere of the Longroom.  Long room will be traditionally dressed and dress code is smart casual.

Friday 22nd July - Cuba Day

A summer's evening of music and fun in aid of  four cancer charities.

Starting at 7.30pm there will be Cuban music and a live performer Cheryl Preston (who will be singing Jazz and Latin songs).

There will also be an auction of ‘ Hythe Cricket Pavillion’ (1960) an oil painting of the original club house  by Patricia Holt-Wren.  (Any sealed bids can be hand in over the bar at the cricket club; reserve  £75).

At the end of the evening the grand prize draw will take place. Prizes have been donated by various restaurants, businesses and a celebrity, an autographed copy of Dawn French's award-winning novel: A Tiny Bit Marvellous

7pm for a 7:30 start


Come a view a fashion show put on by Travelling Trends.
See items from many high street names at better than high street prices, items you can try on and purchase by cash or card on the night.
£5.00 a ticket (ticket only participation) this will entitle you to share the provided nibbles and also to partake of a 175ml glass of wine (or soft drink if you prefer). Come and spoil yourselves for a girlie night.
Tickets are available behind the bar and need to be purchased before the night so we know numbers.

October 29th - Halloween Party Night

Great event last year

come and make it an even better one this year

commence 7.30 games up in the Longroom

music to jig about to - and don't forget that fancy dress - prize for best child costume, best adult, best couple/family. 

There may even be a couldron full of chilli for the hungry ones. 

Buy your pumpkin early and carve it about to add to our decorations - bag of sweets to each person bringing a pumpkin.


November 5th - Hythe Fireworks
HELP required please – could you please let us know by return of email  if you can assist a few of us with “Entry control  and Safety”  at this event.


Come on you know it is always a good night at the club.  Please make your financial pledges behind the bar or let me know by e-mail alleypally@hotmail.co.uk. We will be asking all attendees to contribute - there is a lot of effort and expense to this night but it is fun for all the family.
We are planning on exploding over £1000  of fireworks into the night sky for your enjoyment.

Fireworks will be set off at 6.30pm - evening starts at 6pm.  There will be refreshments served from the kitchen to help keep you warm.
The club requests your support to this fun family experience.
