Squash Leagues

Both squash and racketball have internal club leagues for any member to join and participate in.

The club has squash leagues ranging from the top players to beginner and improver level so there is something for all standards. Each league usually lasts for a month with players arranging their own matches and posting their scores as each match is played. At the end of each period some players are promoted to a higher league, some stay in that league and some are relegated (see notice boards for rules and conditions).

Traditionally squash has been a winter sport but this year the squash leagues are going to continue throughout the summer due to demand. Anyone wishing to join the leagues only has to write their name and contact number on the sheet provided by the league sheets or can phone Sue Giles direct – all squash league admin and disputes are handled by Sue.

Tournaments are held once a year in April for squash and this year there were 8 separate events ranging from men’s and ladies' KO to handicap and even doubles competitions. The finals of the tournaments are played on two evenings in front of a large gallery of spectators.
